National
Arduino Competition
Turn an idea into reality. Join students from across Romania who build smart solutions with Arduino.
7th Edition — 2026. Registration: May 25 – October 15, 2026.
What is the National Arduino Competition?
Organized by ADFABER and sponsored by E.ON Romania, the competition is part of the Kids in Tech program and offers students a unique opportunity to combine their passion for technology with creativity.
Whether you propose solutions for reducing carbon emissions, optimizing transport, creating a smart work environment, a modern home or school, or an intelligent farm — this competition is the right place for your ideas.
A smart lifestyle means improving everyday life. At home, at school, at work, or on the street, people can put technology to work and enjoy modern solutions for a better quality of life.
Why participate in the competition
Accept the challenge and engage in a hands-on activity where you can combine your passion for robotics with programming skills. Participating in the 7th Edition can launch you into one of the most in-demand fields today.
Prizes and recognition
Winners receive prizes, diplomas, and national recognition. Your project could be showcased at an awards ceremony in front of an expert audience.
Real-world skills
Electronics, programming, teamwork, public presentation — the competition combines several essential skills you won't find in any single school subject.
Passion put into practice
If you love robotics and want to build something concrete, this is your chance to show what you can do. The only limit is your team's imagination.
Smart Energy Innovation
What would a home that "thinks" for itself about how to save energy look like?
Build a smart home project using Arduino and sensors (light, temperature, motion, humidity, etc.) that optimizes energy consumption and introduces simple artificial intelligence elements — basic rules and models — for efficiency.
Examples: a system that learns when to turn lights on or off, a thermostat that adapts to the residents' routine, an irrigation system that independently decides when to activate based on sensor data.
Everything you need to participate

Judging
Projects are evaluated by a specialist jury composed of experts in electronics, programming and innovation.
Winners' Gala
Awards ceremony: winners are announced and presented with prizes at the National Arduino Competition Gala.
Voices from the competition
The competition was a true challenge for the students. They started from a captivating and bold idea, which they kept refining throughout the process until they brought the final product to the desired form. I believe competitions like this give students the chance to learn practically. It is a huge step forward in their development.
Piatra Neamț
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this competition. It is a "different" competition from other computer science contests — a new challenge. The students studied, researched, tried, won 3rd place, and are convinced they will be winners next year. This competition brought great added value: new knowledge, teamwork, and research.
